In N Photo Magazine

I almost forgot about this until someone posted a link on my Facebook. Last year N Photo Magazine (based in the UK) asked me to submit a short bio and a couple photos for a profile piece. Looks like they finally ran it. Full disclosure: the editor who put this together is a friend of a coworker of mine who was crowd sourcing people to profile, so the international notoriety isn't exactly earned. Still kinda fun though.

Obama

President Obama stopped in Minneapolis on Friday to deliver a speech on the economy so I took the opportunity to cover an aspect of the President's visit I missed last time I photographed him when he visited the U of M during the 2010 elections to support Gov. Mark Dayton.

Photographing the arrival of Air Force One entailed sitting on a flatbed parked on the flight line for about an hour (no bathroom breaks) with not much to look at except the Secret Service agents milling about.

It only took fifteen minutes from the time Air Force One's wheels hit the tarmac until the President sped-off in his motorcade.

You can check out more of my own photos from the morning as well as Marisa's from the Honeywell event here.

Skol Vikings!

Over the past few months I've been occasionally taking-on some work for the Minnesota Vikings, mostly following the 2012 Minnesota Vikings Cheerleader audition process. You can check out more of that here.

Sandhills

There are about 5,000 Florida Sandhill Cranes alive today.
I got to hang out with this family for about half an hour before they took off.
